Metro & transport

Medellín's metro is the only one in Colombia, and locals are deeply proud of it. Two main lines (A and B) run along the valley floor, plus metrocables (cable cars) up to the hillside comunas, a tranvía line, and a network of integrated buses.

Buy a Cívica card (free, just bring your passport to any major station) to tap on and off. A single ride is ~$3,200 COP (~$0.80 USD). Transfers between metro, cable, and integrated buses are free within 75 minutes.

For door-to-door, Uber works well. Yellow street taxis are fine but use the meter or insist on a fixed price up front.
